Born and raised in west Texas the owners and creators at TexasViking Woodworking are both second generation woodworkers. Kevan and Katie both started out helping their fathers on job sites. Kevan's dad is a commercial superintendent who builds everything from schools, to hospitals, to banks, and so much more. If you ever drive through Midland/Odessa or San Angelo it seems like every other building he's done something to, and he'll be sure to let you know about it! He makes custom furniture in his spare time and has been an inspiration to Kevan and Katie.

Katie grew up helping her father build and install custom cabinets for his own business Alpine Woodworks. She also learned about furniture repair and custom woodworking from him and takes that knowledge into the woodshop each day.

Kevan and Katie grew up a few miles from each other in west Odessa, and even went to the same high school, but didn't meet each other until 2002. They've been inseparable ever since. In 2010 they moved to Grape Creek, a small community just north of San Angelo, where they are raising their two children and many dogs. After their first shop burned down in April 2023, they relocated to Robert Lee and have rebuilt bigger and better than before.
